Carriages operate year round in front of the Hotel Captain Cook (939 W Fifth Ave.) and Glacier BrewHouse (737 W Fifth Ave.) from 7:00 until 10:30 on Friday and Saturday nights, weather permitting.

During summer, carriages operate daily. A quarter-hour ride takes you across the Delaney Park strip and the Pope’s Garden, offering a scenic view of the Chugach Mountains.


A half-hour ride goes down through Boot Leggers’ Cove, offering a breath taking view of Cook Inlet, Mt. Susitna and the Alaska Mountain Range, which includes Mt. McKinley and Mt. Spur. The hour rides travel through Boot Leggers’ Cove and on over to West Chester Lagoon – a truly relaxing ride offering the scenic splendor, relaxation and romance that only can be found in Anchorage, Alaska.
